If you have patches of worn or eaten away carpet, you may have Carpet Beetle. They leave patches of damage in dark areas. You can sometimes see skins from moulting larvae near the damage. You may see the adults during Spring or early Summer on your window sill as they like to get outside to feed on pollen. The beetle problem can be all year round. Carpet Beetle not only eat carpet, they like wool, fur, silk, felt, feathers and leather.
